Natural oxidation using trivalent oxygen (ozone) is natures way of purifying the air.

Oxidation is the combining oxygen with other molecules.  This process allows a form of oxygen, trivalent oxygen (ozone) to combine with odorous and VOLATILE carbon based molecules to break up their chemical structure and reform the atoms into simple compound of H2O, O2 and CO2.  Trivalent oxygen (ozone) is found naturally in the outdoor air we breath n small amounts and in the upper atmosphere in larger amounts.  It is created naturally by the interaction of the sun's UV )ultra violet) rays and the oxygen in the atmosphere.  It can also be created naturally by electrical discharges like lightning during a storm.
